“Fabulatoria”
Ho spesso preso spunto dalla grande letteratura per celebrarla e non semplicemente illustrarla, appropriandomi a volte dei suoi temi e altre dando libero sfogo alle fantasie che essa mi ha suggerito. Così mi sono riferito, seppur con molta libertà, alle opere di Omero, di Dante Alighieri, di Shakespeare e di altri grandi autori per creare immagini digitali dallo spirito prevalentemente onirico. L’idea è sempre quella di ricordare a modo mio, senza mai dissacrare, ma sottolineando la vitale importanza delle opere di questi maestri. In un mondo in cui le basi culturali sono purtroppo spesso assenti, mi sembrava interessante e necessario creare un collegamento, seppur flebile, con le nostre radici letterarie.

“Fabulatoria”
I have often drawn inspiration from great literature to celebrate it rather than simply illustrate it, sometimes appropriating its themes and at other times giving free rein to the fantasies it suggested to me. Thus, I have referred, albeit with great freedom, to the works of Homer, Dante Alighieri, Shakespeare, and other great authors to create digital images with a predominantly oneiric spirit. The idea is always to remember in my own way, never desecrating, but underlining the vital importance of the works of these master writers. In a world where cultural foundations are unfortunately often absent, it seemed interesting and necessary to create a connection, however faint, with our literary roots.
