Frequentemente i miei progetti sono stati caratterizzati da un filone di immagini che seguono un’idea comune. In questa sezione, invece, raccolgo una collana di opere frutto di singoli pensieri nati da stimoli differenti, quasi sempre occasionali, che realizzano la propria creatività ciascuno in se stesso. Alla fine, è come se sfogliassi una raccolta antologica di poesie in contrapposizione alla lettura di un romanzo. Molti sono gli stimoli e le idee che mi sono passate per la testa: perché non realizzarle solo perché non fanno parte di un percorso più ampio? Perché un unicum non dovrebbe avere una sua dignità? Quasi sempre, anzi, mi sono reso conto che queste immagini sono come folgorazioni visive e probabilmente proprio per questo motivo hanno una forza comunicativa persino superiore a opere inserite a completamento di un lavoro programmato. Così mi sono preso la libertà di seguire pensieri, stimolati di volta in volta, dall’ascolto musicale, dalla visione di una scacchiera, da una corsa vista all’ippodromo o dal fascino di un’autodemolizione. Ogni singola idea ha la sua dignità anche nella sua essenza di opera unica.

“Varietas”
Frequently, my projects have been characterized by a thread of images following a common idea. In this section, however, I gather a collection of works that are the fruit of individual thoughts born from different, almost always occasional stimuli, each realizing its own creativity within itself. In the end, it is as if you were turning the pages of an anthology of poems as opposed to reading a novel. Many are the stimuli and ideas that have passed through my mind: why not bring them to life just because they are not part of a larger project? Why shouldn’t a single piece have its own dignity? In fact, I have almost always realized that these images are like visual flashes of inspiration, and probably for this very reason, they possess a communicative strength even superior to works included merely to complete a programmed body of work. Thus, I took the liberty of following thoughts stimulated, from time to time, by listening to music, the sight of a chessboard, a race witnessed at the hippodrome, or even the allure of a car scrapyard. Every single idea has its own dignity, even in its essence as a unique piece.
