L’Enigma della Visione
“Ma che cos’è?” Questa domanda spesso accoglie la mia serie di opere sulle tonalità del ciano e del blu denominata “Cianografie da un Altrove Domestico”. Ciò per me non costituisce un segnale di incomprensione, piuttosto l’inizio di un dialogo, di una condivisione. È la conferma che l’osservatore avverte una presenza “altra”, qualcosa che non si esaurisce nel perimetro della cornice. Questo significa che lo spettatore ha percepito qualcosa che è oltre l’apparenza e sente l’esigenza di cercare un oggetto reale per verificare se quell’oltre è qualcosa di ancor più reale di quello che vede. L’osservatore inizia a percepire una sensazione, avviene così la verifica del mio lavoro: la nascita di uno scambio di pensiero che supera il dato puramente visivo.
Colore come Dimensione Intellettuale tra Energia e Consapevolezza
Nella mia ricerca, il blu non agisce come semplice elemento decorativo, ma come una frequenza cerebrale profonda. Non riesco che a percepire questo colore in analogia con la materia dei sogni, un’esperienza che non è né puramente cromatica né in bianco e nero, ma che abita una zona liminale dell’intelletto. Questa non è solo una suggestione poetica, ma trova un riscontro nella natura stessa della luce. Il blu e il ciano si collocano nella parte dello spettro visibile a più alta energia. Scientificamente, queste frequenze hanno un impatto diretto sulla nostra fisiologia, interagiscono con la retina e regolano numerose funzioni vitali, nonchè la nostra attività onirica e mentale. È una vibrazione che tocca le mie corde più intime, muovendosi verso quello che in altre culture viene definito il livello “Chakra” della consapevolezza, un punto di incontro tra la cultura ancestrale e l’inconscio collettivo.

Queste opere non sono documentazione, ma evocazioni di esperienze vissute o percepite. Vorrei suggerire a chi guarda di rintracciare in quei toni di ciano una memoria lontana o un’intuizione futura. È un invito a spogliarsi della logica descrittiva per abbracciare una visione interiore, dove il blu diventa il velo trasparente attraverso cui percepire l’essenza delle cose. La ricerca affonda le radici in una mia attitudine personale, fin da bambino, sono sempre stato attratto dall’insolito, da ciò che stimolava la fantasia oltre il dato visibile. Ho cercato di conservare deliberatamente quel modo, forse ingenuo, ma profondamente vivo, di vedere le cose immerse in un’aura fantastica. Forse è un atto di resistenza contro la rigidità del mondo adulto, che spesso ci spinge verso una “sicurezza” razionale tanto effimera quanto limitante. Ho cercato un varco per uscire da quella gabbia di certezze precostituite inseguendo una visione aperta, dove il blu non è una possibilità di fuga. Guardo al mondo non per come è stato classificato, ma per come vibra dentro di me, salvaguardando la capacità di stupirmi.

The Enigma of Vision
“But what is it?” This is the question that frequently greets my series of works in shades of cyan and blue, titled “Cyanotypes from a Domestic Elsewhere”. For me, this does not represent a lack of understanding, but rather the beginning of a dialogue a shared experience. It confirms that the observer senses an “other” presence, something that is not exhausted within the perimeter of the frame. It signifies that the viewer has perceived something beyond appearance and feels the need to seek a real object to verify if that “beyond” is even more real than what they see. As the observer begins to perceive a sensation, the validation of my work occurs: the birth of an exchange of thought that transcends purely visual data.
Color as an Intellectual Dimension between Energy and Awareness
In my research, blue does not act as a mere decorative element, but as a deep cerebral frequency. I cannot help but perceive this color in analogy with the fabric of dreams an experience that is neither purely chromatic nor black and white, but inhabits a liminal zone of the intellect. This is not just a poetic suggestion; it finds resonance in the very nature of light. Blue and cyan are positioned in the highest energy part of the visible spectrum. Scientifically, these frequencies have a direct impact on our physiology, interacting with the retina and regulating numerous vital functions, as well as our dream and mental activity. It is a vibration that touches my most intimate chords, moving toward what other cultures define as the “Chakra” level of awareness a meeting point between ancestral culture and the collective unconscious.

These works are not documentation, but evocations of experiences lived or perceived. I wish to suggest to those who look that they might trace within those tones of cyan a distant memory or a future intuition. It is an invitation to shed descriptive logic in favor of an inner vision, where blue becomes the transparent veil through which to perceive the essence of things. This research is rooted in a personal inclination of mine; since childhood, I have always been attracted to the unusual, to that which stimulated the imagination beyond the visible. I have deliberately sought to preserve that way of seeing things perhaps naive, but profoundly alive immersed in a fantastic aura. Perhaps it is an act of resistance against the rigidity of the adult world, which often pushes us toward a rational “security” that is as ephemeral as it is limiting. I have searched for a passage to exit that cage of pre-established certainties, pursuing an open vision where blue is not a possibility of escape. I look at the world not as it has been classified, but as it vibrates within me, safeguarding the capacity for wonder.
